WORD NERD
I write about words, language, and the cultural power of the printed page. I'm studying publishing, because I think the book is the most powerful and incredible of humanity's creations.
BEASTIES
I write about animals, their lives and behaviours, and their general awesomeness. I have two pet ferrets and they are the most amusing animals I've ever seen. Everyone should have animals in their lives. Furry, smelly, flappy, messy and real.
THE BLACK DOG
I write about mental health, particularly my own experiences of depression and treatment. I think it's incredibly important to be visible and honest; to offer support and to seek it.
Life isn't easy, but it's worth the effort.
QUESTION EVERYTHING
I question the things that our culture takes for granted. Gender politics, queer politics, fashion, consumerism, ritual behaviour. I believe that our actions are worthless if we don't consciously choose them.

I try not to overshare, but I won't pretend my life and emotions never bleed into my writing. In all, it's a bit of a scramble. But hey, you love everything I write... right?
